Fire is lit on various apparatus for twirling, eating and breathing by male and female performers. This is a dangerous skill requiring performers to have a great knowledge of their apparatus and the way it responds to movement and their environment.

All fire performers are verse in managing their own safety and always carry their fire safety equipment with placement nearby, including fire blankets and extinguishers. We provide venues with SWMS for fire safety and recommend hiring a safety manager for looking after safety, particularly at festivals. We can advise on suitable performance spaces for pop up, podium and stage shows as well as assist with stage hire options. This is particularly important for hospitality and event venues where patrons will be drinking.

 

Fire performance preparation involves dipping apparatus into fire water and shaking into a wet towel. This is best performed in a wet room or concrete area where the general public are unlikely to access it for the evening.
