We would love more events to embrace this incredibly athletic dance form. Pole is often, and mistakenly only, associated with the adult industry but has actually been a staple in the circus industry through Chinese Pole and Swinging Pole apparatus. Many pole performers are also aerialists and contortionists. 

 

Pole has become increasingly used as a way to increase fitness and strength, being an alternative to more traditional forms of exercise.

We're actively involved in making custom apparatus and pole stages suitable for events and demystifying the use of pole in a sexualised environment. We feature swinging pole as an aerial option with our Mobile Stage hire and have decorated stage design and feathered wing costumes to add to themed events.

Swinging pole requires standard rigging requirements of 3.5m minimum ceiling height and approved rigging checks (see also Aerials page). Stage poles require 3.3m ceiling height clearance.
